Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Kate Pace Lindsay started skiing at the age of two and began racing at the age of five. She raced for the North Bay Ski Racers, the North Ontario Division, and the Ontario Ski team before qualifying as a member of Canada’s National Women’s Alpine Team in May of 1988, remaining on the team until her retirement in 1998.

In a superb career spanning nine years racing at the top international level, she competed on the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) World Cup circuit 64 times in the Super G and Downhill events, placing among the top 10 finishers on 15 occasions. She also competed at the FIS World Ski Championships at Morioka Shizukuishi, Japan (1993), Sierra Nevada, Spain (1996), and Sestriere, Italy (1997) and was a member of the national team at the 1994 Olympic Winter Games at Lillehammer, Norway and at the 1998 Games in Nagano, Japan.

In national competition, she won 6-Gold or Silver Medals at the National Championships and 7-Gold, Silver or Bronze Medals in Nor-Am Cup events and at the United States National Championships.

In addition, she was declared Nor-Am Cup Champion, Ontario Champion (twice), Canadian Junior Champion (twice). At the Canadian Juvenile Championships, she won two Silver and two Bronze Medals and was both Senior and Junior Champion for the Northern Ontario Ski Division in 1984.
