Hall of Famer
Anna Fraser-Sproule
Anna Fraser Sproule was a member of the highly successful “Canadian Air Force” national freestyle ski team from 1983 to 1988 and was considered one of the best female aerialists in the world. Her reputation was confirmed in 1986 when she captured the overall World Cup aerials championship.
During her six years on the World Cup circuit, Fraser Sproule competed in 136 events across all three freestyle disciplines — aerials, moguls and ballet — earning 29 individual medals (five gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze). At the World Cup Grand Prix, she added eight more podiums (one gold, three silver and three bronze). She finished second in combined events at the 1986 FIS World Championships in Tignes, France, and placed fourth in aerials at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary, where the event was held as a demonstration sport.
At the national level, Fraser Sproule won eight Canadian championships in aerials, moguls and ballet. Her versatility and consistency established her as one of Canada’s top freestyle athletes during the sport’s formative years.
