~
Artwork, Printing Plate - one
Gift: Acquired 2001
Production Date: 1920 circa
Description: This is a print plate of ski jumper. It is made of an unknown metal on a wooden block base. The image shows a man jumping through the air on skis with a large cloud behind him. The clouds and other background elements are etched out to add depth when used for printing. There are what appear to be nail holes where the nail has been removed through out the etched areas.
Markings: The piece is signed, however because of size and clarity it is difficult to make out the artists name. It is in the bottom left corner of the print.
Colour: Black
Measurements: 27.5cm in length x 17.7cm in width
Material: possibly a copper plate on wood block
